Donaldson Cares Partners
Shelters to Shutters (S2S)
Donaldson is passionate about supporting Shelters to Shutters, a national 501c3 organization that transitions individuals and families out of homelessness to economic self-sufficiency by educating and engaging the real estate industry to provide employment and housing opportunities. Of the 3 million Americans experiencing homelessness over the course of a year, over 70% are situationally homeless, meaning they are forced to live without housing due to a life-altering event, such as job loss, domestic violence, medical emergency, or natural disaster. Shelters to Shutters works to help the situationally homeless by providing both housing and job resources.
Rebuilding Together Montgomery County (RTMC)
Donaldson is a proud partner of Rebuilding Together here in our home county. Each year, we invest financial resources and skilled labor to assist RTMC in its mission to provide home repairs, accessibility modifications, and energy efficiency upgrades to Montgomery County’s most vulnerable residents – seniors, veterans, persons with disabilities, and families with children, all living in low-income households. The repairs and links to community resources RTMC offers prevent homelessness, preserve affordable housing, and provide safe and independent living for those members of our community who are most in need. RTMC’s ultimate goal – a safe and healthy home for every person!
Children’s National Health System
Donaldson is pleased to support Children’s National’s vision for a future where every child grows to their highest level of health and potential. With a community-based pediatric network, seven regional outpatient centers, an ambulatory surgery center, two emergency rooms, an acute care hospital, and collaborations throughout the region, Children’s is recognized for its expertise and innovation in pediatric care. Donaldson conducts several blood drives a year for Children’s National and contributes financially to fundraisers benefiting local programs. Dedicated to serving all children – regardless of insurance or financial constraints – Children’s National is the largest provider of pediatric care in the nation’s capital, providing $46.2 million in uncompensated care.
Shepherd’s Table of Silver Spring
The mission of Shepherd’s Table is to help provide people who are homeless or in need with basic services. They offer free meals, social services, medical support, clothing, and other assistance in an effective and compassionate manner. Founded in 1983, Shepherd’s Table has never missed a day of service, even during the COVID-19 pandemic. Donaldson is proud to support their work through direct donations as well as hours of employee service.
